General Information for Clients

Flying Grooms

1. Airhorse employs NPTC/AATA certified flying grooms.

2. Owners and Grooms can accompany their horses on flight only if the Aircraft is a dedicated charter aircraft or a Combi (Passenger & Freight) aircraft and if seats are made available.

3. On dedicated freighter aircraft only NPTC/AATA certified grooms are approved for and meet customer airline safety and security requirements. 

Insurance and Handling

1. Horses are NOT insured by Airhorse, unless special agreement has been made in writing during the booking.

2. Horses are always shipped and handled at the owner’s risk.

3. Airhorse recommends that clients purchase insurance prior to shipping.

4. Airhorse can arrange for insurance cover at approximately 3% of the value of the horse(s).

5. Extra vet expenses in case a horse is injured or sick during transport are not included in quotations or invoices.

Claims or Complaints

1. Claims pertaining to the condition of the horse(s) or equipment must be made in writing (E mail) within 24 hours of arrival at the destination.

2. Please note all terms and conditions stated in the Quotation and Invoice including Airhorse Terms and Conditions dated 30th July 2015.

3. Only the court of Singapore is entitled to settle any disputes. 

Flight delays or road transport or other delays

1. Airhorse will endeavor to provide owners wth timely updates every time the horse changes location.

2. When Airhorse partners take over, for example after arriving at an airport or destination we will still endeavor to provide timely updates but the information provided will depend on the updates provided to Airhorse by the respective partners.

3. Airhorse is not responsible for charges incurred out of our control, delays, Lab fees, fuel surcharges, Fees by authorities (Customs/Government Vets, airports etc. 

Horse feed

1. Special feed arrangements will be acceded to when possible and practical, within reason during quarantine prior to flight.

2. Most countries impose restrictions on the import of feed and feed maybe confiscated upon arrival.

3. Special feed to be provided by the owners and please notify Airhorse in writing should horses be allergic to any feed or bedding prior to flight.

Equipment

1. All leg wraps, tail guards, blankets and bandages will be removed prior to flight for safety reasons.

2. If above equipment is included please mark all items and include in a clear plastic bag for identification and onwards transport.

3. Airhorse will not be responsible for incorrectly labeled or unauthorized items.

4. Additional items listed above will be shipped as general cargo.

5. Airhorse is not responsible for any damage or loss to such equipment, unless such items are insured by prior arrangement.
